We aim to establish a summer seminar series on science, sustainability, culture, and sports to be held on the main square of the village. The talks will be in Greek.
Chairs and a microphone will be available, however we will need to purchase a projector and a projection panel for which we intend to make a call for donations soon.
The first confirmed speaker is Dr. Pavlos Pavlidis who is an associate researcher at the Foundation for Research and Technology Hellas in Heraklion in the areas of population genetics, evolutionary biology, and bioinformatics.
The second confirmed speaker is Vaggelis Chourdakis who will talk about composting techniques and a related initiative he proposed in Kousses.
The third confirmed speaker is Prof. Nikos Poulakakis, director of the Natural History Museum of Crete and Professor at the Department of Biology at the Universsity of Crete.
The fourth confirmed speaker is Dr. Cilia Antoniou who is a researcher at the Hellinic Center for Marine Research in Crete.
